Three people from two companies have expressed interest in joining this = committee. - Opens for new issues: Barry - discussion of Eckhard's IBIS Summit presentation and how that could be added to the Quality spec. - Review open Action Items ALL: Review the 10 BIRDs, and their keywords and subparameters - Discuss adding Summary section at top of IBIS file (tabled from = previous meeting). Tabled. - Review 10 birds and keywords from these birds applicable to Checklist BIRD 62.6 (Enhanced Specification of Receiver Thresholds) - include the new keywords and descriptions. Perhaps examples of when they are used (such as SSTL using DC thresholds) and when they are not used. Note these can be used for timing by EDA tools. BIRD 64.4 (Alternate Package Models) - probably not in first draft. BIRD 65.2 (C_comp Refinements, now BIRD 76) - address by stating the C_comp issue is being revisited/refined. Hegazy's IBIS Summit presentation showed how C_comp extraction method has large effect on C_comp value. BIRD 66 ([Model Spec] Vref Addition) - no new keywords. Adds typ/min/max for Vref. Nothing to be addressed here. BIRD 67.1 (Increase V-T Table 100 Point Limit) - no new keywords. Need to document "quality" means having enough points in transition region. Not necessarily more points, but more in transition region. BIRD 68.1 - no new keywords, but definitely a quality issue. There are a lot of portability issues related to "over-clocking". Tradeoff=20 between portability and ability to account for ISI effects properly. Limitations of s2ibis2 (taking evenly spaced points, taking points to final run time, subtracting I-V curves with enough resolution) were noted. These are related to BIRDs 67.1 and 68.1. BIRD 70.5 (Golden Waveforms) - not in first draft? except perhaps to say it is desirable to do that sort of checking during model making. Note that this is not the same as correlating to the test bench. Model maker should document source of the data (SPICE or test bench). BIRD 71 (Timing Test Loads in [Model Spec] to Support PCI & PCI-X) - PCI is popular. Need to document the keywords and how they are used (different test loads for rising and falling). BIRD 72.3 (Accommodating PMOS and NMOS//PMOS Series FET Models) - no new keywords. Nothing to be addressed here. BIRD 73.4 (Fall Back Submodel) - Voltage-dependent output current control, higher drive strength from Vinl to Vinh, weaker outside that range. Are we documenting any submodel spec keywords (no). Skip in first draft. Maybe put at end of document: a list of keywords that have not yet been documented for quality purposes. Need to note that list may not complete. BIRDs 74 and 75 - not passed, so not planning to address them in the first draft of the quality document.=20 - Agenda items for next week? Not all simulator companies deal with all keywords. Need to address this in the quality document - what keywords are the "bare minimum" to claim IBIS support ("Level 0"). Examples include timing and EMI. Identify limitations in model making and IBIS specification and feed this back into the IBIS committee. - Set next meeting time Tuesday, July 16, 11 AM EST (8 AM PST).
